Privacy Policy

Effective  August 12, 2026Version  1.1

Jargonee is a product of Resonance Labs. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you use Jargonee, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It is written in plain language on purpose, because a product built to remove jargon should not hide behind it.

If you have questions about anything in this policy, contact us at support@resonancelabs.ai.

1Who We Are

Jargonee is operated by Resonance Labs from Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. Jargonee is a product of Resonance Labs and is not a separate company.

This policy covers Jargonee only. Other Resonance Labs and Klaritee products operate under their own policies.

For the purposes of data protection law, Resonance Labs is the data controller responsible for personal information collected through Jargonee.

2The Short Version

We do not store the text you submit for analysis. Jargonee's analyzer is deterministic and does not use a language model — the same text always produces the same result.

Jarbee, the conversational guide, is powered by Anthropic's API. Messages you send to Jarbee are transmitted to Anthropic to generate a response. Recent conversation history may also be included so Jarbee can answer follow-up questions. Jarbee conversations are not stored in our database.

We do not train any model on your text.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

The sections below explain each of these in full, along with the limited information we do collect to run accounts, subscriptions, and the site itself.

3Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, your name if you provide one, and authentication information managed by our authentication provider, Clerk. If you sign in through a third-party identity provider supported by Clerk, that provider shares with us the basic profile information you have authorized it to share.

Text you submit for analysis. When you submit text to Jargonee, that text is processed by the analyzer and the results are returned to you. The text is processed to produce your result and is not written to our database. We do not build a library of submitted text, and we do not review submitted text for any purpose other than delivering your result to you. The Jargonee analysis engine is deterministic and does not use a language model.

Messages you send to Jarbee. Jarbee is the conversational product guide powered by Anthropic's Claude API. When you send a message to Jarbee, that message — along with recent conversation history to support follow-up questions — is transmitted to Anthropic to generate a response. Jarbee conversations are not stored in our database. Anthropic's handling of API data is governed by Anthropic's privacy policy and usage policies.

Jarbee rate-limiting data. To protect the Jarbee service from abuse, each request is associated with a one-way hash derived from the requester's IP address using SHA-256. This hash is stored in our database to enforce request-rate limits. The raw IP address is not intentionally stored for this control; only the irreversible hash is persisted. The rate-limit counters are reset as each enforcement window expires; the underlying records may remain for operational abuse-prevention purposes.

Feedback submissions. If you submit feedback through Jarbee's Place, your feedback content (type, area, severity, and message) is stored in our Neon database. To enforce the one-submission-per-day limit, a one-way hash of your IP address is stored with the submission. The raw IP address is not intentionally stored for this control.

Subscription and billing information. Payments are processed by Stripe. You provide your payment details directly to Stripe. We do not receive or store your full payment card number, security code, or bank account details. We store a limited subscription record that identifies your account, your tier, your subscription status, and the identifiers Stripe uses to reconcile it. Stripe's handling of your payment information is governed by Stripe's own privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.

Technical information. When you use Jargonee, our hosting and infrastructure providers record standard technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, timestamps, and error events. This information is used to operate the site, diagnose faults, and protect against abuse.

4What We Do Not Do With Your Text

We do not retain it after your result is produced. Text submitted for analysis is not written to our database.

We do not use it to develop, train, tune, evaluate, or improve any model, and we do not provide it to anyone else for that purpose. Jargonee's analyzer is deterministic. The same text, submitted against the same engine version and the same dictionary version, produces the same result every time. It does not learn from what it processes. The deterministic analysis engine itself does not use a language model.

Messages you send to Jarbee are transmitted to Anthropic as described in Section 3. Anthropic's API terms govern how Anthropic handles that data; we do not use Jarbee conversations to train our own models.

We do not sell your text, rent it, or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

We do not read your submitted text, except where you send us a specific support request that includes it and we need it to answer you.

5How We Use Information

To provide the service, which includes authenticating your account, running the analyses you request, and returning results to you.

To manage subscriptions, which includes processing payments through Stripe, applying the correct access level to your account, handling renewals, and handling cancellations.

To operate and improve the product, which includes diagnosing faults and understanding in aggregate which features are used. We do not use the content of your submitted text for this purpose.

To communicate with you, which includes account notices, security alerts, billing confirmations, and responses to your support requests. If you opt in to product or marketing emails, we will send those as well, and you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting support@resonancelabs.ai.

To maintain security, which includes detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.

To comply with legal obligations, which includes responding to lawful requests, meeting tax and accounting requirements, and enforcing our Terms of Service.

6How We Share Information

We share information only in the following limited circumstances.

Service providers. We use third parties to run parts of the service. These include our hosting and infrastructure providers, our database provider (Neon), which stores account, subscription, and feedback records, our authentication provider (Clerk), our payment processor (Stripe), and Anthropic, whose API powers Jarbee responses. These providers process information on our behalf under their own applicable terms. Anthropic receives the messages you send to Jarbee as described in Section 3.

Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, protect the safety of any person, or investigate fraud or a security incident.

Business transfers. If Resonance Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such transfer and of any resulting change to this policy.

With your consent. We will share information for any other purpose only with your explicit consent.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7How Long We Keep Information

Submitted text. Not retained. It exists only for the duration of the request that produces your result.

Jarbee conversations. Not stored in our database. The message and recent history are sent to Anthropic to generate a response and are not written to our records.

Jarbee rate-limit records. Stored as SHA-256 IP-address hashes for abuse prevention. The rate-limit counters are reset as each enforcement window expires; the underlying records may remain for operational abuse-prevention purposes. They are not linked to any account and are not used for advertising.

Feedback submissions. Stored in our Neon database for as long as necessary to review and act on the feedback. Hashed-IP information stored alongside feedback is used only to enforce the 24-hour submission limit and has the same retention as the submission itself.

Account information. Kept for as long as your account is active. After you delete your account, we retain limited records for a reasonable period to reconcile billing, respond to support inquiries, and meet legal obligations, after which we delete or anonymize them.

Subscription and billing records. Kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law in the jurisdictions where we operate.

Technical logs. Kept for a limited period sufficient to operate the service, diagnose faults, and meet security requirements.

8Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to correct it if it is inaccurate, to delete it subject to limited exceptions where we are legally required to retain it, to receive it in a portable format, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@resonancelabs.ai. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If you are a resident of California, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with specific privacy laws, additional rights may apply, and we will honor them as required by applicable law.

9Security

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information. These include encryption of data in transit, access controls limiting who can reach account data, password and session handling managed through Clerk, payment handling delegated entirely to Stripe, separation of production and development environments, and the architectural decision not to store submitted text at all, which is the most effective protection available for that content.

No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your information, we will notify you and the appropriate regulators as required by law.

10Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate Jargonee, keep you signed in, and remember your preferences. Session and authentication cookies are set by Clerk and are necessary for signed-in features to work. Checkout and billing pages hosted by Stripe set their own cookies under Stripe's policy.

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies for cross-site tracking or profiling.

Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. If you block cookies, signed-in features of Jargonee will not work correctly.

11Children's Privacy

Jargonee is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, contact us at support@resonancelabs.ai and we will delete it.

If you are between 13 and 18, you may use Jargonee only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

12International Users

Jargonee is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States. By using Jargonee, you consent to that transfer.

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other jurisdictions with cross-border transfer requirements, we rely on standard contractual clauses and other lawful transfer mechanisms as required by applicable law.

13Third-Party Links

Jargonee may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.

14Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will notify you by email or through a notice on jargonee.com before the change takes effect. The Effective Date at the top of this policy reflects the date of the most recent update. Your continued use of Jargonee after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Earlier versions of this policy are available on request from support@resonancelabs.ai.
