Terms of Service

1Definitions

Jargonee means the Jargonee website, analyzer, account and subscription features, and related services made available under the Jargonee name.

Resonance Labs, we, us, and our refer to Resonance Labs, the operator of Jargonee.

You means the individual or entity using Jargonee.

Text means material you submit for analysis. Output means the results Jargonee returns.

2Acceptance of These Terms

You must have legal authority to agree to these Terms. If you use Jargonee on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement governing your use of Jargonee.

3Account Registration and Security

Some features require an account. Authentication is managed through Clerk. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity under your account.

We may suspend or terminate accounts used in violation of these Terms or in a way that creates risk to Jargonee or other users.

4Acceptable Use

You may use Jargonee only for lawful purposes. You may not violate third-party rights, submit material you are not authorized to submit, reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it, probe or defeat security controls, use Jargonee to build a competing product, scrape the service, resell the service or Output without permission, or transmit malicious code.

5Subscriptions, Billing, and Payment

Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize the applicable recurring and one-time charges shown at checkout, including taxes where applicable.

Renewals. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel through the Stripe Customer Portal or other cancellation controls we make available. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle, and paid access continues until that date.

Refunds. Subscription fees and other charges are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where Resonance Labs expressly agrees otherwise in writing. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing cycles, unused time, or downgrades.

We may change prices with reasonable notice. Failed payments may result in suspension or cancellation of paid access.

6Your Text, Output, and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the Text you submit. You grant us a limited license to process it only as necessary to produce and return the Output.

Jargonee does not retain submitted Text in its analysis database and does not use submitted Text to train a model. Subject to these Terms, you may use your Output for personal or internal business purposes.

Jargonee, including its software, dictionary, detection logic, design, copy, and branding, is owned by Resonance Labs or its licensors. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7What Jargonee Is and Is Not

Jargonee is an editorial and analytical aid. Output is not legal, financial, compliance, employment, or other professional advice. Resonance Labs is not a law firm. You are responsible for decisions you make based on the Output.

8Disclaimer of Warranties

Jargonee and the Output are provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, and reliability.

We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation, or that any particular result will be achieved.

9Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Resonance Labs and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to Jargonee.

Our total cumulative liability for claims related to Jargonee or these Terms is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months or one hundred U.S. dollars.

10Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Resonance Labs and its affiliates from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of Jargonee, the Text you submit, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

11Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Jargonee at any time and may cancel a paid subscription through the available account or Stripe controls. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, legal requirements, risk, or discontinuation of the service.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute provisions.

12Changes to Jargonee

We may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue Jargonee or any feature at any time. Engine and dictionary versions may change, and results may differ across versions.

13Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be communicated through the site, account notices, or other reasonable means. Continued use after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction as permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in this section limits either party's right to seek injunctive or equitable relief where available.

15General Provisions

These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement regarding Jargonee. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a business transfer. Events beyond our reasonable control may excuse delay or nonperformance.

Notices may be provided through the email address associated with your account, through Jargonee, or through other contact methods published on the site.
